Amazfit Stratos Smartwatch Specifications, Review
Amazfit Stratos Smartwatch Specifications, Review Huaws Amazfit Stratos from Xiaomi’s portable clothing brand is a multisport GPS watch with some features of smart watches. It is swim-proof, can track outdoor races, displays notifications from your smartphone, allows you to store music and promises up to five days of battery life. All this has a price of Rs. 15,999, which is a very good price if everything works well. We used the Amazfit Stratos for a week to see if it was worth considering as an “intelligent” watch for fitness enthusiasts.
Design and comfort of Amazfit Stratos The Amazfit Stratos is beautiful in the images, but the product is not so beautiful. It is really bulky, with a thick circular sphere and large buttons. Although we appreciate the big screen, it looks a bit like a punctured tire and is not a complete circle. The Stratos Amazfit is a little bulky to be comfortable every day. It uses a silicone strap and we found that it fit well and did not cause any more discomfort.
The exhibition is perhaps the biggest weakness of the Amazfit Stratos. It’s a permanent exhibition, which is great, but the positive aspects end there. The glass at the top is very reflective and under intense light, it is difficult to read what is on the screen. The backlight tended to hurt the eyes in dark rooms because it illuminates the entire screen. With Amazfit Stratos, waking up in the middle of the night to check the time on our wrist was a painful experience all the time. Although it has great clock faces, the screen is not good enough to display them.
The load support is fixed to the bottom of the watch, but it can also be upside down. If you accidentally make a mistake, you will not be able to charge the watch because the pins will not be in contact. Although the mechanism works very well, this supervision could be quite boring in the long run.
Software and ecosystem of Amazfit Stratos
The Amazfit Stratos is compatible with iOS and Android, and you need to download the Amazfit Watch application on your smartphone. The application allowed us to choose to connect to an existing Xiaomi account and we tested it first because we created one when we reviewed the Xiaomi Mi Band 2. However, it did not work, so we created a new account. The pairing process went smoothly and we discovered that the application was well designed. It shows data in sharp graphics and you can see historical data quite easily.

SalePaytm Shopping Center opens now Our problem with the application is that it does not do much. It has a configuration to change the units from Imperial to Metric, but this change did not affect the clock. We had to do it from the parameters of the clock.
Similarly, options such as automatic data download, clocks of 12 or 24 hours, do not disturb the mode, and so on. It can only be changed on the clock. The Amazfit Stratos uses its own operating system, which is quite common in the fitness industry. Companies like Garmin and TomTom are doing the same. However, it takes a while to get used to the Amazfit Stratos interface. It has a touch screen and three buttons to navigate through the user interface. Press the top button to scroll up, and the bottom button to scroll down, and if you want to select an option, you can use the middle button. The application shows a tutorial that will guide you through other actions, such as long press the top button to go back, etc. but it is not intuitive at all.
We also noticed that the touch screen only works if you “wake up” the clock by pressing one of the buttons. If you try to use the touch screen after a period of inactivity, it stops responding. These are minor inconveniences that are added to make the overall experience uncomfortable.
However, the watch shows notifications and allows you to read complete messages, even from third-party applications. It can not respond to notifications because this watch is designed to be portable with notifications, not as an appropriate smart watch. Although notifications have been useful, people who need more control may not
